Los Arqueros offers a varied and very interesting round with many streams crossing the fairways and lakes on both sides. You have to plan your game carefully and accuracy is more important than distance due to the many slopes you will find all along the course. All of this, combined with the wonderful sea and mountain views, makes Los Arqueros an unforgettable golfing experience for all players.

One of the features of Los Arqueros Golf is that it is narrow and difficult, and although its designer, the well known player Severiano Ballesteros, has said that it is suitable for different player levels, it does not seem suitable for the general public. Its setting, half way down a slope, close to the road San Pedro Alcantara-Ronda in the first foothills of Sierrania de Ronda, still within the township of Benahavis, with its narrow and winding fairways give a peculiar and flight aspect from the distance that in no way is unworth of its neat installations once you get to it.

Besides the hole that we shall discuss later on, we casn review some others just to give an idea of the difficulties that the ground can encounter, the 13th is a par five with an elevated tee, from where the ball has to be played on to lower ground protected by various bunkers. Long hitters try to hit the green with their second shot although this is very risky because of the presence of a gully; the 14th is a par four with elevated tees and a fairway that slopes off to the right with a tree bang in the middle of it as well as a gully.

When teeing off, it is important to play to the left so as to avoid the trees. Its green is very undulating and has a bunker on either side; or the 10th, another par four from where it is necessary to play a little towards the right to avoid the steep incline on the left. The elevated green has two levels and is protected by two bunkers.
