Master
architect Robert Trent Jones created 18 holes of entangled
fairways at "La Duquesa Golf and Country Club",
and this, combined with the spectacular landscape and the
sun and breezes of the Mediterranean, will ensure that you
enjoy your day. There is nothing better than to stand atop
the spectacular 8th hole and know it would be extremely difficult
to match such perfection either in terms of nature or golf
course design.
Over an expanse full of ups and downs and occasionally very
narrow, Manuel Piñero and Antonio Garcia Garrido, designed
it using good judgement criteria and always having the golfer
in mind and yet, not exempt from difficulties that require
precision and stamina, fgor the greens are well protected
by bunkers and presentdangerious slopes. It is therfore a
course for experienced players.
It is a tortuous and narrow course set in the middle of a
marvellous scenery, bordered in one of its rounds by the river
Guadaiza. One of the outstanding features of La Quinta Club,
besides its splendid Club House and the variety of services
available27 holes, three putting greens and a practising ground
available and operates as a prestigious International Golf
school It is well known, and feared too, the short par four9th
with a lake surrounding half its green and a very long par
four 5th with 419 metres par four 4th stands out with a steep
incline and a curve in its left |
