There
are three courses (two par-3 and one par-72), the latter being
quite technical and hilly. You don´t repeat any of the
courses as every fairway is different. Once you know the course
and you have walked along its fairways several times, it gets
to be quite fun. The course is uneven because the fairways
go up and down in order to adapt themselves to the terrain
and they are long and narrow. And the versatility of the tees
means the course can be adapted to all handicaps. The par-3
courses are ideal for beginners
.
The course covers an area of over 1,150,500m2 and is built
at considerable height, in a dry climate, thus making it especially
suitable for playing all year round.
The design has managed to preserve the natural contours, with
changing fairways that run up and down, adding to it a particularly
attractive charm. The wide diversity of fairways forces the
playe to carefully think before choosing the club and the
type of stroke. This is why it is considered a technical course
that offers a challenge to experienced players but it also
represents a test to evaluate the progress of the amateurs.
Alhaurín has a fairly comprehensible children school
favoured by its large practising facilities, like a small
9-hole course and the impressive par-three 18-hole course,
very appropiate for practising new players, but also used
frecuently by children and youngster that have an early start
in learning this interesting sport.
The complex, which includes a Horse-Riding Club, has a total
of three courses and 45 holes. The fairways are long and narrow,
what makes necessary the trace straight shots in order to
avoid the numerous bunkers and water and forest hazards. |
