La
Quinta has three courses: San Pedro, Ronda and Guadaiza. Located
in Marbella´s Golf Valley, it is one of the busiest
golf courses of Spain. The distances are not too long on this
course but there are difficulties such as bunkers, dangerous
slopes, rivers, trees and lakes. Located on an uneven ground,
on some fairways you are forced to shoot to the pin in order
to avoid long putts.
One of the most technical courses in the area.Over an expanse
full of ups and downs and occasionally ver narrow, Manuel
Piñero and Antonio Garcia Garrido, designed it using
good judgement criteria and always having the golfer in mind
and yet, not exempt from difficulties that require precision
and stamina, fgor the greens are well protected by bunkers
and presentdangerious slopes. It is therfore a course for
experienced players.
It is a tortuous and narrow course set in the middle of a
marvellous scenery, bordered in one of its rounds by the river
Guadaiza. One of the outstanding features of La Quinta Club,
besides its splendid Club House and the variety of services
available27 holes, three putting greens and a practising ground
available and operates as a prestigious International Golf
school. It is well known, and feared too, the short par four
9th with a lake surrounding half its green and a very long
par four 5th with 419 metres par four 4th stands out with
a steep incline and a curve in its left. |
