Donald
Steel designed this 18-hole course that borders the ocean.
It was the 1990 host of the Tenerife Open, part of the European
PGA tour, which was won by Vicente Fernández from Argentina.
The course will provide a tough test for the professional
golfer but those who are not so capable will not feel out
of their depth. The first four holes run along the cliff,
then at the short 5th the sea makes part of the fairway, and
you are forced to play over the water. The play then turns
back inland before turning back towards the water. You then
change direction again to play along tree lined fairways back
up towards the clubhouse to finish.
The clubhouse is spacious and the restaurant overlooks a sunny
terrace and pool. There is a good practise area with driving
range and putting green and equipment for sale and hire.
